As a small business we strive to provide our customers with great products at a fair price. If that product is made locally we get really excited. Here are some products that we sell that were made locally.

Amazing Baits – Cape Cod
Frank Marcano loves fishing for largemouth bass as well as striped bass. He also loves making the rigs and lures to catch these fish.  Sports Port carries Frank’s spinner baits for fresh water fishing and rigs for fluke, black sea bass and stripers.

Bob Davies, Custom Wood Lures – Cape Cod
Bob Davies loves making things. Beautiful things. Specifically, wooden plugs for fishing. Not only are these plugs works of art, but they catch fish – really well! You can often find Bob or his son fishing the Cape Cod canal with one of Bob’s lures. Come in to pick yours up at Sports Port! You might want to buy in bulk, these are hard to keep in stock when the stripers are in.

Cotuit Salt Water Fly Tyers – Cape Cod
You can often find Mike Desisto fishing the mid-Cape beaches for striped bass with his flies. He knows which flies work for our area and makes the flies accordingly. This guy eats, sleeps, breaths fishing and you can tell from his quality flies that catch fish.

Daddy Mac Lures – Massachusetts
The Viper series has an incredibly realistic action for fresh and saltwater, the metals are awesome for bottom fishing, bass fishing and albie/bonito fishing.

Fly Catcher Flies – Cape Cod
Every March I look forward to a visit from Joe O’Clair. He stops in the shop to show me all of the fly designs he has been working on since the last season. Every year he has something new and maybe he has improved on a fly from previous years. Joe takes pride in his flies and it shows. Joe is passionate about tying flies and fishing.

Mike Hogan is one of those guys that does something and does it really well. Before getting into the fishing tackle business he was a captain fishing everyday. He has done a great job growing Hogy Lures while the quality seems to not only be maintained, but improve. They have lots of great how-to videos on their website.
